The Department of Spatial
Planning was constituted in 1985 with the purpose of
understanding and governing urban and territorial transformation
The principal disciplinary area are : urban/ territorial
planning and earth sciences. The research activities can be
articulated in the following themes:
territorial transformation governance, environment and habitat,
technological innovation and cities, mobility and
urban planning, derelict areas transformation, natural and
technological risk mitigation, competitiveness and territorial
development, renewal and valorisation of building heritage.
Teaching courses, master and PhD thesis, publications and other
department activities are related to these research themes, as
described in the web site.
